Return and Refund Policy

Thanks for shopping at Ampol Sorell (Formerly Caltex Sorell).

If you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase, we’re here to help.

The following terms and statements are supplementary to your rights under Australian consumer protection laws.

Returns

We are not required to provide you with a refund or replacement if you change your mind, but may choose to accept a return of this nature at our absolute discretion. If we do accept a change of mind return, we will not accept responsibility for the cost of returning an item or any regulatory burden of doing so.

Where practical, your item should be in it’s original packaging, depending on the item and nature of the return. If the item(s) being returned is due to a change of mind, we reserve the right to make returning the item(s) in it’s original package a condition of refund.

For products found to be defective, unsafe, or not fit for purpose, you are not legally required to provide the item with it’s original packaging

Your item(s) needs to have the receipt or proof of purchase such as your order notification email.

Refunds

Once we receive your item, we will inspect it and notify you that we have received your returned
item. We will immediately notify you on the status of your refund after inspecting the item.

If your return is approved, we will initiate a refund to your credit card (or original method of
payment).

In some instances, and were legally allowed under consumer protection laws, we reserve the right to provide a remedy other than a refund if the reason for return is not a major problem, and we are able to repair the item in a reasonable timeframe.

If a refund does occur, you will receive the refund amount within a certain amount of days, depending on your card issuer’s policies.

Shipping

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. If the item is found to be defective or in an equivalent condition, you will be refunded the cost of returning the item, provided you provide proof of cost such as with a receipt.

If the reason for return is a change of mind, we will not pay for any shipping costs.

For larger items that are difficult to move due to size or weight, and that are defective, please contact us for a remedy which can include us paying all necessary shipping costs, as required under law.
